Job summary

The Norwood Hotel in Norwood, Adelaide, is seeking an Assistant Manager to help run the venue’s pub, bistro and event spaces with the Publican. This hands-on role involves moving stock and deliveries, lifting and safety compliance.

You’ll lead a team, uphold a great vibe, and be the face of the pub when the boss is away. You’ll need a current RSA, RSG and RP badge. Base salary is $80,000 plus Super, Bonus Scheme and exclusive Endeavour Group discounts.

Qualifications

• RSA, RSG and RP badges are required.
• Experience supervising in pubs is preferred.
• Strong people and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Know the locals so well they feel part of the crew.
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely and with a great vibe.
• Lead a team of hospitality staff while learning the Publican role.
• Handle hiccups before they become headaches.

We're on the hunt for our next Assistant Manager to help keep theNorwood Hotelbuzzing and loved by the locals.

Situated in the heart of Norwood just 10 minutes from Adelaide's CBD,The Norwood Hotelis a heritage-listed local institution with over a century of history. Anchored right next to Norwood Oval, the venue features modern Australian dining, live local music, and the iconic Finn MacCool's Irish Pub. From high-volume game day crowds to casual family dinners, it remains one of the area's premier hospitality destinations.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you're part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA, RSG and RP Badgeas per state requirements
