ALH Hotels is seeking an Assistant Manager for Castle Hill Tavern in Sydney’s Hills District. This hands-on role oversees daily operations, drives guest service, and supports the Publican to maintain a thriving, safe venue with a great vibe.

You’ll lead a team of hospitality staff, energize service, and ensure the pub stays buzzing across shifts. A strong customer focus and leadership presence are essential.

Qualifications

• Current RSA and RCG as per state requirements.
• Hands-on hospitality management experience is preferred.
• Ability to supervise and lead a hospitality team.

We’re on the hunt for our next Assistant Manager to help keep the Castle Hill Tavern buzzing and loved by the locals.

Castle Hill Tavern ("The Tav") is the original local pub of the Hills District, famous for its friendly, efficient service and vibrant community atmosphere. This multi-room venue features a busy Family Bistro, a popular beer garden, TAB facilities, and two dedicated function spaces for private and corporate events. With a packed weekly schedule of trivia, karaoke, and live music, it’s the region's go-to destination for entertainment.

A Day In The Life Of An Assistant Manager

Inherent Requirements

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About You

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA and RCG as per state requirements
