Peppers Retreats, Resorts and Hotels’ Shadow Play by Peppers in Southbank VIC is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead the Front Office Team and deliver memorable guest experiences. You will coordinate cross-department interactions, drive team engagement, supervise staff, and manage guest feedback with composure and urgency at a premier Melbourne riverside property.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise leading the Front Office team as a Team Leader or Supervisor.
• Proficiency with reservation and property management systems is a plus.
• Able to multitask under pressure with strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and spoken communication abilities.
• Willingness to work a flexible rotating schedule, including nights and weekends.

Shadow Play by Peppers is in a class of its own. Set around the Yarra River, one kilometre from Melbourne CBD, it offers guests a range of one and two bedroom apartments with floor to ceiling windows and contemporary décor. Guests can wine and dine at Edwin Wine Bar and Cellar, which celebrates and supports local produce within their creations. Then there is the lavish lounge and library with adjoining patio, where guests can soak in the fresh breezes and make use of the barbecue area. Purpose

As Assistant Manager, you will take the lead in orchestrating the Front Office Team, creating unforgettable guest experiences while maintaining a high level of team energy. Each day in this position promises opportunities where you connect with various departments, coordinate team engagement, oversee staff, expertly manage guest feedback, and swiftly resolve any challenges that arise.

Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated expertise in Hotel Front Office Operations, marked by a vibrant track record of assuming leadership roles as a Team Leader or Supervisor
• Proficiency in using reservation and property management systems is a plus
• Ability to multitask and thrive under pressure, fuelled by epic organisational and time management skills
• Masterful in the art of both the written and spoken communication
• Capable of embracing a flexible rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
