Job summary

Bertoni is hiring an Assistant Accountant for its Hospitality Group in Sydney. The role focuses on hands-on financial control, with duties spanning weekly P&L, venue performance reporting, accounts payable/receivable oversight and payroll checks.

You will work closely with senior management and venue managers to ensure timely, accurate financial information across the group. The successful candidate will bring at least 2 years of hands-on accounting experience, a strong eye for detail, and

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience in accounting, finance or bookkeeping.
• Solid understanding of P&L reporting and reconciliations.
• Ability to prepare basic management reports and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Weekly P&L and venue performance reporting.
• Accounts payable and receivable oversight.
• Payroll checking and reconciliation.
• Bank and credit-card reconciliations.
• Cash-flow tracking and forecasting.
• Supplier spend and cost analysis.
• Food and labour cost reporting.
• Budget vs actual reporting.
• Prepare regular management reports and liaise with venue managers.
• Collaborate with external accountant and bookkeeper as needed.
