Responsabilités

• Monitor inventory levels and liaise on reordering requirements.

• Maintain accurate records of processing, distribution and deliveries.
• Support Laundry Manager with daily tasks and problem solving.

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Laundry Manager - Distribution Coordinator to join our growing team in Nowra, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial operational role in our laundry and distribution operations. You will be responsible for supporting the management of our laundry processes whilst coordinating the efficient distribution of cleaned items to our clients. This role is essential to ensuring our operations run smoothly and our customers receive their items on time and in perfect condition.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with the supervision and coordination of laundry operations, including washing, drying, pressing and folding processes
• Managing the distribution and delivery schedule to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of cleaned items to clients
• Monitoring inventory levels of laundry items and supplies, and liaising with management on reordering requirements
• Coordinating with drivers and delivery personnel to optimise distribution routes and schedules
• Performing quality control checks on finished laundry items to ensure they meet our high standards
• Maintaining accurate records of laundry processing, distribution and customer deliveries
• Supporting the Laundry Manager with daily operational tasks and problem-solving
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards throughout laundry and distribution operations
• Liaising with clients regarding delivery times, special requests and any service concerns
• Contributing to the training and support of junior team members as required

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in laundry operations, cleaning services, or a related distribution/logistics environment
• Proven experience in a supervisory or coordinating capacity, or demonstrated potential for management responsibility
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and clients
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards
• Reliability and punctuality, with a professional approach to work
• Ability to work as part of a team and support colleagues in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to undertake training in laundry management and operational procedures
• Valid driver's licence is preferred, as this role may involve some distribution coordination tasks
