Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking a compassionate and motivated Assistant in Nursing (AIN) to join our Mater Mothers team in a permanent, part-time opportunity working 32hrs per week.

Based at our Springfield campus, this Level 4 maternity service provides care for approximately 1,700 women and families each year, with strong referral pathways to Mater Mothers’ Hospital South Brisbane for higher-level care.

Competenze

• Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (or currently working towards completion).
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to patient-centred care and maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Mansioni

• Support patients with activities of daily living to promote comfort and wellbeing.
• Provide one-to-one patient support and assist with supervision as required.
• Assist clinical teams to deliver safe patient care under supervision.
• Maintain clinical stock levels and support cleaning of equipment and general upkeep.
• Assist with transport of specimens, documentation and other patient-related items.
• Support a clean, safe and organised ward in line with infection prevention standards.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and a collaborative team culture.
