Job summary

Mater Mothers Hospital Springfield is seeking a Registered Midwife for Maternity Inpatients in a permanent part-time (0.8 FTE) capacity. Based at the Springfield campus, you will deliver comprehensive midwifery care, advocate for patients, and support safety and excellence in a state-of-the-art facility.

You will hold current ANMB registration and a Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent, with collaborative teamwork across disciplines and a commitment to professional development and research-driven

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board to practice as a Registered Midwife.
• Degree-level qualification (Bachelor of Midwifery or combined Nursing/Midwifery).
• Experience delivering midwifery care within a continuity of midwifery care model.
• Strong clinical problem-solving and teamwork in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Effective communication skills across IT, written and verbal contexts.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive midwifery care for maternity inpatients with patient advocacy and holistic support.
• Promote safety, infection control, confidentiality, and professional practice.
• Enhance service delivery and patient satisfaction through quality care.
• Adhere to organisational policies and guidelines while mentoring junior staff.
• Engage in professional development and contribute to research and outcomes.
