Job summary

St Vincent's Health Australia is seeking an Assistant in Nursing for the Day Surgery/Endoscopy Unit at The Mater Hospital in North Sydney. This casual role focuses on patient-centred care during daytime hours in a renowned private hospital.

The position does not include night shifts or weekend work, and offers exposure to a range of perioperative and recovery activities within a supportive team and learning environment.

Qualifications

  • 2nd or 3rd year nursing student, or TAFE Certificate III in acute care.
  • Experience in an acute health care clinical setting.
  • Time management skills.
  • High-level computer literacy.
  • Ability to work well under supervision of RN and EENs.

Responsibilities

  • Patient centred clinical practice in accordance with recognised standards.
  • Ensure safety of patients and staff by designing effective and efficient systems and processes of care.
  • This role does not require night shifts, you will be working in the day surgery centre.
  • No weekend availability required.

About The Role
  • This is a fantastic opportunity for second or third year university nursing student looking for a development opportunity within the Hospital Clinical setting.
