Job summary

Darling Downs Hospital & Health Service – Wondai QLD is seeking an Assistant in Nursing to support residents with daily living activities and collaborate with nursing teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

You will help create a welcoming environment, document care accurately, and contribute to safety and quality improvements in a residential aged care setting.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, Health Services Assistance (or equivalent) or current nursing studies meeting eligibility requirements.
• Ability to provide safe, person-centred care in a residential aged care environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with nursing teams and residents.

As an Assistant in Nursing, you'll help deliver person-centred care that supports residents to live with comfort and dignity. From providing hands-on support to working closely with nurses and care teams, you'll contribute to positive experiences and outcomes for people who call Forest View Residential Aged Care their home.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

• Supporting residents with daily living activities that promote wellbeing, comfort and quality of life.
• Working alongside Registered and Enrolled Nurses to deliver safe, high-quality care and monitor changes in residents' needs.
• Helping create a welcoming, respectful and safe environment where residents feel valued and supported.
• Contributing to quality and safety initiatives by accurately documenting care and identifying opportunities for improvement.
