Job summary

Western NSW LHD invites applications for an Assistant in Nursing in Coolah, NSW. This permanent role supports patients with daily routines, mobility, meals and medication, under the supervision of registered nurses. You will help plan daily care and keep accurate electronic patient records.

The role involves rotating shifts including night duty in a rural health setting, with up to 38 hours per week. Remuneration ranges from $65,150 to $71,479 per year, with superannuation and salary packaging

About the role.

You’ll havestrong communication, empathy and customer service skills while you assist patients with their daily routines, such as showering, toileting, dressing, eating, communication, mobility, medication and exercise. You’ll keenly observe those in your care, keep accurate electronic patient records and assist in the planning of daily routines and ongoing care.

Working closely to assist the registered nurse, you’ll work independently on tasks delegated, collaborate well within a multidisciplinary team and manage a varied workload with competing priorities.

This role involves rotating shift work including night duty. The work is varied with emergency presentation, acute medical inpatient and residential aged care.

The town of coolah is surrounded by national park land. The town is situated approximately 1hour 30minutes from Dubbo & Mudgee.
