Wishbone in Melbourne’s CBD seeks an Assistant Head Sommelier to lead wine service, manage cellar operations and curate memorable guest experiences from day one. You’ll collaborate with Lucas Collective wine leaders to shape Wishbone’s wine program and guest journey.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as an Assistant Head Sommelier
• Extensive knowledge of wine, new and old world
• Passion for the wine industry
• Strong understanding of management practices
• Demonstrated experience in leading high-performing teams and exceeding targets
• Exceptional service skills and guest focus
• Experience with stock control and inventory management
• Up-to-date with industry trends
• Highly adaptable and able to perform in high-pressure service periods
• Proven ability in building effective relationships
• Organisational and time management skills
• Exceptional communication and presentation
• Full time availability including weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts
• WSET certification or similar is highly regarded
• Victorian RSA certificate
