Stitch Coffee in Marrickville, Sydney, is looking for an Assistant Head Barista to support the Head Barista with coffee quality, team leadership and service during peak times.

The role is hands-on on the machine, with responsibility for dialling in espresso and other brew methods, coaching the team and ensuring smooth bar operation when the Head Barista is away. Weekend shifts are part of the roster.

Formación

• 2+ years in specialty coffee
• Confident dialling in multiple brew methods and roast styles
• Experience training or supervising other baristas
• Strong customer service, and calm under pressure

Responsabilidades

• Dialling in espresso, filter, batch and cold brew daily, including lighter roasts
• Logging and maintaining coffee QC so quality stays consistent
• Training, coaching and supporting baristas on shift
• Running the bar and the shift when the Head Barista is off
• Looking after guests and keeping service moving at peak times
• Keeping equipment clean, calibrated and in good order
• Working with our Head Barista and Head Roaster on feedback and improvements

Assistant Head Barista — Marrickville | Stitch Coffee | Full Time

You'll be second-in-charge of the bar at Marrickville, working alongside our Head Barista to run coffee quality, the team and service. It's a hands-on role. You'll still be on the machine through the rush, but you'll also be the one making sure the coffee is dialled in, the team is supported and the bar runs smoothly when the Head Barista is off. If you're ready to step up from senior barista into leadership, this is the role.
