Job summary

Mercure Gold Coast Resort on the Gold Coast is seeking a highly motivated assistant financial controller for a fixed-term 9-month contract. You will supervise the Finance team in daily operations and handle payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cashiering.

You will develop and monitor financial systems, improve processes to boost profitability, maintain internal controls, and prepare monthly accounts.

Qualifications

• Experience as AFC/Senior Accountant and leading a finance team.
• Ability to train and develop team members.
• Strong time management for high-volume workload.
• Composure under tight deadlines and pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Finance team in daily operations.
• Support payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cashiering.
• Develop and monitor all financial systems.
• Improve systems and processes to increase profitability of each department.
• Maintain internal controls, credit limits and compliance.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly accounts.
• Assist with completing monthly financial statements.
• Provide financial advice and support to management.
