Job summary

Pullman East Melbourne invites applications for an Assistant Financial Controller to support the Financial Controller in managing the hotel’s financial operations. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance and assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis across departments.

Key duties include coordinating departmental forecasts, developing cost-control measures with department heads, and ensuring timely account processing and supplier payments while

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Finance and/or Accounting.
• Minimum 3 years' supervisory or management accounting experience in a large organisation.
• Experience with Payroll PAYG, GST, payroll Tax, Workers Compensation, BAS preparation, Accounts Payable, and Superannuation.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Department Heads to identify cost-effective measures to improve profitability.
• Develop and monitor financial systems for the hotel to streamline procedures.
• Assist in preparing the hotel annual budgets with Department Heads and the General Manager.
• Compile quarterly forecasts ensuring input from Department Heads.
• Assist, advise and collate monthly departmental forecasts.
• Provide departments with accurate statistics on a timely basis.
• Collaborate with other departments to support financial matters.
