Nine's Group Finance team seeks an Assistant Financial Accountant to support financial accounting across Publishing, Broadcasting, and Digital divisions. You will contribute to key reporting, balance sheet processes, and drive continuous process improvements while collaborating with cross-functional finance teams to strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience in an assistant accounting or financial accounting role.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reconciling discrepancies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to collaborate across teams.
• Excellent organisation to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, growth-minded approach with high standards of confidentiality.

Responsabilités

• Review and process general ledger entries in line with policies and compliance.
• Assist with accounts payable activities and invoice coding.
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-end closing with accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain robust internal controls and drive process improvements.
