Job summary

Seven West Media is seeking an Accountant on a 9-month fixed-term parental leave contract. You will handle monthly reporting, journals, accruals, fixed asset records, inventory accounting, cost allocations and balance sheet reconciliations, while supporting audits and tax compliance.

You will partner with IT, HR, Production, Digital, Circulation and Events, bringing analytical rigor and proactive collaboration to a dynamic media environment.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree and/or working towards CA/CPA completion.
• Experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Proactive, detail-oriented with strong time management.
• Able to manage competing deadlines and articulate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Monthly reporting and analysis.
• Journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Maintaining the fixed asset register.
• Inventory accounting and cost allocations.
• Balance sheet reconciliations and reports.
• Support audits, group reporting and compliance.
• Tax compliance including FBT and tax schedules.
• Payment times reporting and business partnering with departments.
