Job summary

Aruma is seeking an Assistant Financial Accountant to support financial reporting for multiple entities, including government agencies and auditors. You will help maintain controls, contribute to month-end and year-end processes, and ensure accurate, timely financial information for decision-making across the organisation.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Finance or Accounting with CA/CPA, 2+ years in accounting, and experience with Great Plains, Dynamics 365, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
• CA or CPA qualification is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in a Big Four, mid-tier, corporate, or not-for-profit environment.
• Experience in statutory financial statements under Australian Accounting Standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with timely preparation of statutory, financial, and management reporting.
• Support month-end and year-end activities.
• Maintain robust financial controls and processes.
• Reconcile bank accounts and prepare cashflow reports.
• Assist with payroll, BAS, and fringe benefits tax filings.
• Contribute to internal and external audits and policy development.
• Assist with completing annual Statutory Accounts.
