Job summary

Advanced Navigation, a leader in AI robotics and navigation tech, seeks a Financial Accountant to drive monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting under AASB/IFRS. You will maintain GL integrity, support audits, and help implement improved accounting policies while collaborating across Finance and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CA or CPA qualification (or actively pursuing).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a high-growth or start-up environment.
• Strong technical accounting skills (AASB and IFRS).
• Proven experience in managing the month-end close process and preparing financial statements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Deliver monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting with relevant accounting standards (AASB/IFRS).
• Maintain general ledger integrity and oversee reconciliations.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members when required.
• Support external audits and compliance requirements.
• Assist with the redesign, implementation and monitoring of accounting policies to safeguard against business risk.
• Assist with preparation of the R&D tax incentives.
• Stay up-to-date on global tax regulations.
• Embed AI directly into day to day finance.
• Provide input into testing and implementation of a new ERP system.
• Assist with finance transformation projects and new initiatives.
• Partner with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
