Rural Funds Management is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to support our Farm Manager at Lynora Downs, Central Queensland. This full-time role focuses on cropping operations, team leadership, and safety in a regional farming setting.

The successful candidate will have broadacre cropping experience, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage budgets and records. Family accommodation and utilitarian on-site support may be available, reflecting the role’s emphasis on stable,

Qualifications

Experience in broadacre cropping (ideally cotton) and irrigation is preferred.
Experience managing teams, including staff and contractors.
Valid C Class Driver’s Licence and Current Chemical Certificate are required.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel for budgeting and reporting.

Responsibilities

Provide farm management cover in the absence of the Farm Manager.
Oversee crop establishment, bed preparation, fertilising, sowing and cultivation.
Coordinate and maintain irrigation systems and operations.
Manage crop protection and chemical application.
Operate and maintain broadacre farming plant and equipment.
Maintain accurate records of inputs, maintenance, payroll and cost allocations.
Promote safety and develop team capabilities.
