Qualifications

• Must hold a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification.
• At least three (3) years of relevant childcare experience.
• Experience supervising children and supporting meals, hygiene, toileting and daily routines.
• Experience assisting with play-based learning activities that support development.
• Knowledge of child safety, supervision, hygiene, and workplace health and safety responsibilities.
• Ability to observe children's needs and adapt care and activities accordingly.
• Strong communication with children, families, educators and stakeholders.
• Must hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain all checks, clearances and first-aid requirements.

Responsabilités

• Prepare safe, engaging learning environments and activities for children.
• Supervise children during indoor/outdoor play, routines and group activities.
• Support meals, hygiene, toileting, rest and daily personal care needs.
• Assist with play-based learning experiences guided by an early childhood framework.
• Encourage development across physical, social, emotional, cognitive and language domains.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with children in care.
• Observe interests and development and contribute to records.
• Adapt activities to suit individual needs and stages of development.
• Encourage inclusive behaviour and respectful interactions among children.
• Communicate professionally with families regarding routines and wellbeing.
• Maintain clean, hygienic, safe indoor/outdoor areas and report concerns.
• Collaborate with educators and staff to support programme goals.
• Follow workplace health and safety, child protection, legal and ethical procedures.
