Job summary

First Grammar Ourimbah, part of the G8 Education network, is looking for an Assistant Educator to join a supportive team. You will help create a nurturing learning environment for children aged 0–5 years, with flexible scheduling to suit personal commitments.

You should hold an ACECQA approved Certificate 3 or Diploma, have EYLF/NQS understanding, and possess a current Working with Children Check and First Aid.

Qualifications

• Strong communication with children and families.
• Understanding of EYLF and NQS.
• Experience with 0-5 year olds in early childhood settings.
• Current Working with Children Check and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Support the learning environment for children aged 0–5 years.
• Contribute to indoor/outdoor play, activity planning, and supervision.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, welcoming and stimulating classroom.

This role is Part-Time working 24 hours per week.

About Us

Our children enjoy delightful indoor and outdoor play areas, rooms equipped with the latest age-appropriate technology and learning resources, and a range of activities.

At capacity our centre caters for up to 38children with operating hours from 7am to 6pm.

About You

• You will hold an ACECQA approved Certificate 3 or DiplomaQualification in Children’s Services
• An understanding of both the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
• Proven Educator experience within an Early childhood service (working with children 0-5 years)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A current Working with Children Check
• First Aid certificate
