Job summary

ANZUK Education in Sydney's Bayside LGA is seeking an Assistant Director and Educational Leader for a boutique family-owned centre near Brighton-Le-Sands. The role combines leadership with hands-on early childhood teaching, supporting a team of educators and ensuring a high standard of care.

Earn approximately $40–$50 per hour, with flexible 10-hour or 8-hour shifts, a 9‑day fortnight option, and time for planning.

Qualifications

• Open to Early Childhood Teachers (ECTs) and Diploma-qualified educators.
• Experience mentoring educators and leading teams.
• Strong planning and off-floor time management.
• Knowledge of child safety practices and centre compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead as Assistant Director and Educational Leader, guiding curriculum and staff development.
• Mentor and support educators to maintain high-quality learning experiences.

Are you a passionate and experienced early childhood teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity in the Bayside LGA, Sydney? We have an exciting position available a family-owned centre near Brighton-Le-Sands that prides itself on strong community connections and partnerships.

About the Centre:

• Capacity:55 children
• Environment:Our architecturally designed, modern, and environmentally friendly centre provides a rich and diverse range of experiences that promote children's learning and development. With an open-plan and spacious layout, children can interact, play, and learn in a safe and suitable environment. All resources and equipment are accessible and rotated systematically to ensure new experiences and discoveries every day.
• Team:The team is fun and vibrant, with a supportive director who has owned and operated the centre for over 15 years and holds a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education. The retention of staff is strong with low turnover. The role is also ideal for someone who loves mentoring young and engaged educators!
• Excellent Planning & off floor Time:The centre recognizes the importance of sufficient planning time and ensure minimum 1 day off the floor per week for the Educational Leader & Assistant Director responsibilities.
• Well-being Focus:Close on Educator Day to engage in team well-being activities.

What We Offer:

• Competitive Pay:Approximately $40-$50 per hour for Early Childhood Teachers (ECTs) / Diploma’s, with additional allowances (Educational Lead).
• Flexibility:Choose from 10-hour shifts over 4 days, 8-hour shifts with a rostered day off (RDO), or a 9-day fortnight.
