Job summary

The Creche and Kindergarten Association (C&K) Hughenden Community Childcare Centre is seeking an Assistant Director to support the Centre Director in daily operations and centre management. You will cover opening/closing shifts and act as the person in charge when needed, helping foster a nurturing, safe environment for children and families.

This permanent full-time role starts December 2026, with a competitive hourly wage and benefits such as childcare discounts, an Employee Assistance

Qualifications

• Must be Diploma in Early Childhood qualified.
• First Aid, CPR and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification.
• Valid Blue Card or Exemption Card.
• Current Police Check current
• Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guide.
• Completion of Foundations of Child Safety training (Geccko).

Responsibilities

• Support the Centre Director in leading daily operations and ensuring smooth centre management.
• Step in to support during non-contact times and assist Group Leaders when needed.
• Responsible for opening or closing shifts and being in charge when required.
