Reggio Emilia Early Learning Centre in Pagewood, NSW, is seeking an Assistant Director (2IC) to join our established leadership team. You will work closely with the Centre Director, be mentored one‑on‑one, and access fully funded training to grow your leadership skills.

Live in eastern or south‑east Sydney? Pagewood is close to Maroubra, Randwick, Kensington, Mascot, Botany and Eastlakes. This is a genuine leadership role with real responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Diploma qualified in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher; Bachelor welcome.
• Experience as 2IC, Room Leader, Educational Leader or senior educator.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQS, NQF and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and organisation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Centre Director with daily operations, rostering and ratios.
• Mentor and develop educators and Room Leaders.
• Help lead compliance with the NQF, NQS and education and care regulations.
• Support programming, documentation and quality practice under EYLF.
• Contribute to the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and educators.
• Act as Responsible Person and lead the centre when the Centre Director is away.

Are you a Diploma-qualified Room Leader, Educational Leader or senior educator who’s ready for the next step? We’re a privately owned, family‑run early learning group, and we’re looking for an Assistant Director (2IC) to join our established leadership team at our Pagewood centre.

This is a genuine leadership role, not a title on paper. You’ll work closely with our experienced Centre Director as her right hand, be mentored one–on–one, and be supported with fully funded training to grow your leadership skills.

What you’ll do

What you’ll bring

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Current NSW Working with Children Check and First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
