Job summary

The YMCA Loganholme Outside School Hours Care is seeking an Assistant Coordinator to support daily operations, lead programming, and guide a passionate team in delivering safe, fun, and enriching care for children in a part-time role.

You will work with a not-for-profit organisation focused on community impact, training, and professional development for educators, while enjoying flexible scheduling during term time and vacation periods.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services or related ECEC/Teaching qualification (or studying towards).
• Demonstrated experience in children’s programming and administration.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with the National Quality Framework.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily running of the service.
• Assist with child-led, play-based programming.
• Provide guidance to educators and support staffing needs.
• Maintain compliance and support administration processes.

About the role

We are seeking a capable and motivated Assistant Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Loganholme Outside School Hours Care on a permanent part time basis. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Coordinator with day-to-day operations, lead programming, and help guide a passionate team in delivering safe, fun, and enriching care for children.

What you’ll bring

• A Diploma in Children’s Services or related ECEC or Teaching qualification (or studying towards)

• A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• A commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all children
• Familiarity with the National Quality Framework
