Job summary

YMCA Logan Village Outside School Hours Care is seeking an enthusiastic Educational Leader on a permanent part-time basis. You will shape engaging programs that support children's learning outside school hours, guide a team of educators, and ensure every child feels safe, supported, and included.

You will lead by example, coach staff, and champion child-centred learning while aligning with current frameworks and compliance Standards.

Qualifications

• A Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent (desirable).
• Minimum three years’ experience in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting
• Comprehensive working knowledge of the approved learning framework
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others
• Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comprehensive working knowledge of child development, attachment, learning
• Demonstrated understanding of evidence-based best practice approaches to teaching and learning
• Working knowledge of leadership theory and the use of a range of leadership styles
• Well-developed critical thinking skills, including the ability to analyse and challenge conventional practice and ideas
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
