Job summary

The Hotel Windsor in Melbourne's CBD is seeking an Assistant Concierge to join our team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will be the first and last point of contact for our guests, delivering exceptional service and local knowledge.

Duties include leading the team, delegating tasks, handling guest queries, luggage services, and promoting memorable experiences with travel partners. A valid manual driver’s license and strong Melbourne knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of hotel experience.
  • Knowledge of Melbourne and local attractions.
  • Excellent communication and time management.
  • Driver's license required.
  • Opera PMS knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in leading and mentoring the team.
  • Delegate tasks to ensure guest needs are met.
  • Handle guest queries and resolve issues.
  • Deliver and collect guest luggage during check-in/out.
  • Provide information on hotel facilities.
  • Assist with valet parking for guests.
  • Support reception during peak periods for smooth operations.
  • Follow up on guest requests and ensure high standards.
  • Build relationships with travel partners and local providers.

The Hotel Windsor, an iconic Australian hotel embodying the architecture and elegance of a European style ‘Grand Hotel’. Our beautiful hotel is looking for an Assistant Concierge to join our team on a Full-Time basis. The Role

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you are the first and last point of contact for our guests, therefore great Customer Service skills are a must! Sound knowledge of public transport, local attractions, restaurants & events in Melbourne are essential elements of the role.

Duties
  • Assisting in leading and mentoring the team
  • Delegation of tasks to the team ensuring all guests needs are met
  • Handling guest queries and resolving them
  • Delivering guests luggage and collecting guest luggage on check out
  • Providing information on all facilities within the hotel
  • Valet parking of guest cars (both Automatic and Manual)
  • Provide support to the reception team during peak periods to ensure smooth front office operations
  • Follow up on guest requests and special arrangements as directed by department leaders, ensuring completion to a high standard
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with travel partners, tour operators, and local providers to promote memorable guest experiences and day trips
  • Proactively contribute to a collaborative team environment and assist across departments when required
Skills & Experience
  • A minimum of 1-2 years experience in a hotel environment
  • Sound knowledge of Melbourne
  • Communication and time management skills
  • Exceptional eye for detail and a positive attitude
  • Previous Opera knowledge will be highly regarded
  • Valid Manual Drivers License is a must
  • Work in Melbourne’s iconic Grand Heritage Hotel.
