Job summary

Curiosity Tree Early Education in Burpengary, QLD is seeking an Assistant Centre Manager to support the Centre Manager, lead a vibrant team, and contribute to daily operations.

You will mentor educators, build strong family relationships, and drive quality practice aligned with the EYLF and NQF, while managing rostering and daily routines. This role offers a clear leadership pathway and hands-on experience in a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ECT qualification (or ACECQA-approved equivalent).
• Leadership experience (2IC, Room Leader or Educational Leader preferred).
• Good understanding of the National Quality Framework and Regulations.
• Current Working with Children Check and First Aid/CPR (or willingness to update).

Responsibilities

• Support Centre Manager with daily operations and leadership.
• Assist rostering and staffing to ensure smooth daily routines.
• Mentor educators to deliver high-quality practice aligned with EYLF and NQF.
• Contribute to QIP, programming support, and assessment & rating readiness.
• Build warm, professional relationships with families and contribute to enrolment growth.

What You Bring

• Diploma or ECT qualification (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
• Experience as a 2IC, Room Leader, Educational Leader, or similar role (leadership experience preferred)
• Good understanding of the National Quality Framework and Regulations
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities
• A team-first mindset and a passion for building a positive culture
• Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
• First Aid/CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis (or willingness to update)
• Supporting the Centre Manager with daily operations, compliance, and centre leadership
• Mentoring and supporting educators to deliver high-quality practice aligned with the EYLF and NQF
• Building warm, professional relationships with families and contributing to enrolment growth
• Assisting with rostering, staffing support, and smooth daily routines
• Contributing to the QIP, programming support, and assessment & rating readiness
• Supporting a safe, welcoming environment that prioritises child wellbeing
• Stepping into the Centre Manager role when required (leave/absence coverage)
