Job summary

Inspira Kids Early Learning Centre in Gladstone Park, VIC, is seeking an Assistant Centre Manager / Second in Charge (2IC) for a permanent part-time role (37.5 hours/week, Mon–Fri). Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or equivalent (ACECQA-approved).
• Experience in a leadership or 2IC role in an Early Learning Centre is highly desirable.
• Hold Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) and First Aid Certificate with CPR and Asthma/Anaphylaxis training.
• Current National Police Check and understanding of EYLF and NQS.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Centre Manager in day-to-day operations for smooth running.
• Lead, mentor and supervise staff to ensure high-quality education and care.
• Support the Educational Leader with EYLF-based program development.
• Help develop centre policies and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate OH&S, program planning and staff training; ensure licensing compliance.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and team members.

Inspira Kids are expanding their team and are excited to offer the opportunity for anAssistant Centre Manager / Second in Charge (2IC)to join their team at Gladstone Park Centre, in a permanent part-time position, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Duties and Responsibilities

Assist the Centre Manager in day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the centre.

Manage the day-to-day operations of the centre in the temporary absence of the Centre Manager or where required.

Assist with leading, mentoring and supervising all employees within the service ensuring delivery of high-quality education and care.

Support the Educational Leader in the development and implementation of innovative educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

Assist the Centre Director with developing the centre’s current policies, and offering ideas for improvement, where you see necessary.

Co-ordinate centre operations, including Occupational Health and Safety, program planning and staff training.

Ensure compliance with licensing, statutory requirements and quality assurance frameworks, including the National Quality Standards (NQS).

Build strong and meaningful relationships with children, families/guardians and team members.

Actively engage in the continuous improvement of the centre’s operations and learning environment.

About You

Hold aDiploma in Early Childhood Education and Care,or equivalent (ACECQA-approved).

Previous experience in a leadership or 2IC role in an Early Learning Centre is highly desirable.

Hold aWorking with Children’s Checkand

Hold First Aid Certificate(including CPR and Asthma Anaphylaxis Training).

Hold and maintain a valid and current National Police Check, as required for employment in the early childhood education and care sector.

Have a thorough understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).

Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.
