Job summary

Guardian Mt Barker on Bollen Road invites applications for an Assistant Centre Director to lead and support the Centre Leadership Team in delivering outstanding early childhood education. You will build strong relationships with families and Educators, helping ensure safety, quality, and a culture of continuous improvement that aligns with Guardian priorities and community needs.

Qualifications

  • Completed Diploma in Children's Services and/or Bachelor of Education (or working towards).
  • Experience in a long day-care centre in a senior or leadership role.
  • Sound knowledge and implementation of the NQF and the EYLF.
  • Budget and financial accountability experience.
  • Current First Aid and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates, and Working with Children check.

  • Support the Centre Leadership Team to create a safe and secure environment where children are supported to be brave, curious, and imaginative in their learning.
  • Build lasting relationships with families so they feel informed and confident their children are receiving the best education and care in the community.
  • Support the Centre Leadership Team to develop a culture of quality and safety that makes Guardian the Centre of choice in the community.
  • Contribute to Guardian's mindset of bravery, positivity, thoughtfulness, and professionalism in all aspects of work.
  • Develop skills to drive business performance so profits are reinvested into high-quality education for young children across Australia.

To be considered, you will have:
  • A completed Diploma in Children's Services and/or Bachelor of Education (or working towards)
  • Prior experience working in a long day-care centre in a senior or leadership role.
  • Sound, practical working knowledge and implementation of the NQF and the EYLF.
  • Budget and financial accountability experience
  • Current First Aid and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates, and current Working with Children check.
