Job summary

Forever New in Melbourne is seeking an Assistant Buyer to join our dynamic Buying team. You’ll own the critical path from order to delivery, collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams, and help ensure ranges land on time and meet brand expectations.

This role offers a fast-paced environment where you’ll build your commercial acumen, analyse performance, and support the Buyer while growing your leadership capability.

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU OFFER US

You’ll bring hands‑on buying experience, strong commercial instincts and the confidence to take greater ownership within a fast‑paced fashion environment. You’re highly organised, proactive and comfortable juggling competing priorities, with a strong eye for product and the ability to build effective relationships across the business and with suppliers.

• Previous experience at Assistant Buyer level, supported by a strong foundation in Buying Administration


• Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of product, trade and the customer


• Experience managing critical paths, suppliers and key production milestones


• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to confidently manage competing deadlines


• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the confidence to take initiative and make informed decisions


• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills across suppliers and internal stakeholders


• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, adapt quickly and reprioritise as business needs evolve


• Emerging leadership capability with the confidence to provide guidance and support within the team
