Job summary

Hermès Australia is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the Finance Team in Sydney. The role covers accounts receivable, reconciliations, and revenue reporting, with involvement in month-end and year-end processes.

You will work with SAP, Magnitude, Cegid, and planning analytics, require solid Excel skills, and collaborate across stores and external partners to ensure accurate financial data and compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in accounting/finance; professional qualification CA/CPA preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in a similar accounting role within retail or wholesale.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform revenue reconciliations and bank reconciliations for stores including E-commerce.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes with accuracy.
• Prepare turnover and reconciliation reports for management.
• Assist in GST/PAYG, BAS lodgement and compliance.
• Respond to stakeholder enquiries and support internal controls.
