Job summary

Hermès Australia is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the Finance Team. The role focuses on revenue and reconciliation tasks, supporting month-end and year-end processes, and delivering accurate financial reporting for stores including E-commerce.

The ideal candidate will have a accounting/finance degree, CA/CPA qualification, and a minimum of 3 years in a similar role. Advanced Excel and experience with SAP, Magnitude, Cegid, and Planning Analytics are valued.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform revenue reconciliations including sales, bank and receivable reconciliations for all stores including E-commerce.
• Monitor aged receivables to ensure timely collection and investigate discrepancies to mitigate financial risks on bad debts.
• Perform cash reconciliation and arrange cash collection for stores.
• Prepare recharge invoices for non-retail clients and corporate orders.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and Hermès group requirements in sales receipts.
• Generate sales reports daily, weekly, monthly and annually.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist retailers with transaction issues in the retail system (Cegid).
• Participate in annual stock-takes and other finance-related projects.
