Job summary

Hermès Australia is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the Finance Team. You will manage accounts receivable, reconciliations and revenue reporting while supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.

Key duties include revenue and bank reconciliations for stores and E-commerce, GST/PAYG compliance, and delivering timely reports using SAP, Magnitude, Cegid, Planning Analytics, and Excel. This is a full-time role based in Sydney with strong cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in accounting or finance is required.
• CA or CPA qualification preferred or in progress.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, ideally in retail or FMCG.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable and collections to ensure timely cashflow.
• Perform revenue and reconciliation tasks for stores including E-commerce.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes and reporting.
• Prepare bank and receivable reconciliations; monitor reconciliations for accuracy.
• Prepare GST and PAYG reconciliations and assist with BAS lodgement.
• Generate regular sales reports and liaise with stakeholders.
• Assist external auditors and contribute to financial governance.
