Splend in Sydney is looking for an Assistant Accountant / Graduate to build foundations across core accounting processes. Reporting to AU Finance Manager, you'll gain hands-on exposure to reconciliations, journals, accounts payable, card processing, month-end and year-end close, and audit support.

This is a great opportunity for a recent Accounting graduate to turn knowledge into practical experience and grow in a collaborative finance team, with CA/CPA study support and paid exam leave.

Qualificações

• Degree in accounting/commerce/business with accounting major.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Internship or part-time experience in accounting is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare bank reconciliations and month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
• Post routine and month-end journal entries to keep the General Ledger accurate.
• Process supplier bills and review AP entries.
• Process and review company card transactions and reconciliations.
• Assist with transaction uploads across finance systems.
• Support month-end/ year-end close and audit activities.

About the role

Join our Sydney finance team as an Assistant Accountant / Graduate and build strong foundations across core accounting processes. Reporting to the AU Finance Manager, you'll get hands-on exposure to reconciliations, journals, accounts payable, company card processing, month-end and year-end close, and audit support. What you'll be doing

• Prepare bank reconciliations for all Australian bank accounts and month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and post routine and month-end journal entries to keep the General Ledgeraccurateand up to date.
• Assist with General Ledger account analysis during month-end close.
• Process supplier bills and review entries in theaccountspayable ledger.
• Process and review company card transactions, including reconciliations in the accounting software.
• Assistwith transaction uploads and updates across the finance systems.
• Support month-end and year-end close, including audit activities and ad hoc finance team priorities.

What you'll bring

• A degree in Accounting, Commerce or Business with an accounting or finance major (2026 graduates welcome to apply).
• Strong understanding of accounting concepts, with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Confident Excel skills and some exposure to accounting software; experience with NetSuite or Xero is highly regarded.
• Accounting experience through an internship, part-time role or similar is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team and under deadlines.
