Talent Web Recruitment is hiring an Assistant Accountant in its Sydney CBD office. The role reports to the Head of Department and offers a 12-month contract with a strong potential to convert to permanent.

The successful candidate will contribute to daily accounting operations, reporting, and governance within a banking environment. Key requirements include a Bachelor's degree in accounting, 1–3 years of accounting experience, fluent Mandarin, advanced Excel and solid communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Prepare daily bank reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Process expense reimbursements and manage expense invoices.
• Monitor expenditure against budget.
• Process accounts payable.
• Prepare and post manual journals.
• Prepare daily balance sheet and P&L reports and investigate significant movements.
• Maintain the fixed asset register.
• Support month-end reporting, reconciliations and Head Office reporting.
• General filing and ad hoc tasks.

An excellent opportunity has opened up for an Assistant Accountant - and fluent Mandarin speaker - to join the Sydney office of a well-established international company. Reporting directly to the Head of Department, you’ll play a key part in the day-to-day finance function, gaining broad exposure across accounting operations, reporting and governance in a banking environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing daily bank reconciliations and investigating any variances
• Processing expense reimbursements and managing expense invoices
• Monitoring expenditure against budget
• Processing accounts payable
• Preparing and posting manual journals
• Preparing daily balance sheet and P&L reports and investigating significant movements
• Maintaining the fixed asset register
• Supporting month-end reporting, reconciliations and Head Office reporting
• General filing and ad hoc tasks

About you

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 1–3 years of accounting experience
