Job summary

Live Nation is hiring an Assistant Accountant to join the ANZ finance team. You will deliver month-end close, assist with forecasting and budgeting, and provide guidance to stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand.

The role emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and collaboration with the Sponsorship team. The ideal candidate will be studying CA/CPA with strong reporting skills, advanced Excel, and experience with Oracle/BPC; OneStream familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Studying toward a CA or CPA qualification with accounting/reporting experience.
• Experience delivering accurate P&L, balance sheet and variance analysis.
• Experience in a large corporate environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations and P&L/variance analysis against forecast.
• Forecasting, budgeting: monthly P&L forecasts, annual budgets, and detailed packs.
• Monitor cash flow projections to support planning.
• Prepare GST reconciliations for AU/NZ and support audits.
• Provide day-to-day financial guidance to Sponsorship team and manage vendor setups.

The Role:

Sitting within the Sponsorship stream and reporting to the Finance Business Partner, you’ll join the team as an Assistant Accountant and be the financial backbone of the operational team, delivering accurate reporting, supporting audits, and providing day-to-day accounting guidance to stakeholders across ANZ.

What you’ll be doing:

• Month-end management: Prepare journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and deliver accurate P&L and variance analysis against forecast.
• Forecasting and budgeting: Compile monthly P&L forecasts, annual budgets, and detailed forecast and budget packs.
• Cash flow monitoring: Prepare and monitor cash flow projections to support financial planning.
• Compliance and reporting: Prepare and lodge GST reconciliations across Australia and New Zealand, and support internal and external audit queries.
• Operational finance support: Provide day-to-day financial guidance to the Sponsorship team, including invoice generation, vendor set ups, intercompany transactions, and bank payments.
• Ad-hoc analysis: Complete project reconciliations and deliver financial analysis and reporting as required.

What you’ll bring:

• Accounting qualifications: Studying towards, or looking to begin, a CA or CPA qualification, with demonstrated experience in accounting and reporting, ideally within a large corporate environment.
• Reporting capability: Proven ability to deliver accurate P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis with a strong eye for detail.
• Stakeholder communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently across teams and geographies.
• Time management: Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.
• Technical proficiency: Advanced Excel and data management skills; experience with Oracle and/or BPC is a bonus, and comfort adapting to new systems like OneStream is a plus.
