Job summary

Live Nation is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the ANZ sponsorship finance team. You’ll deliver accurate journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L analysis, while supporting audits and providing day-to-day accounting guidance.

You’ll prepare monthly forecasts, budgets, GST reconciliations, and work with stakeholders across teams to keep cash flow and reporting on track. A love of live entertainment is a plus and flexible work options are available.

Qualifications

• Studying towards CA or CPA with accounting and reporting experience in a large corporate environment.
• Proven ability to deliver P&L, balance sheet and variance analysis with attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication across teams and geographies.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.
• Advanced Excel and data management; familiarity with Oracle/BPC/OneStream is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations and P&L/variance analysis.
• Forecasting and budgeting: monthly P&L forecasts, annual budgets, detailed packs.
• Cash flow monitoring and projections to support planning.
• GST reconciliations for Australia and New Zealand; support audits.

The Role:

Are you a detail-driven and motivated accountant ready for a fresh challenge? This is your chance to join the Finance team at Live Nation and get hands-on with the numbers behind one of the world’s most exciting live entertainment businesses.

Sitting within the Sponsorship stream and reporting to the Finance Business Partner, you’ll join the team as a Assistant Accountant and be the financial backbone of the operational team, delivering accurate reporting, supporting audits, and providing day-to-day accounting guidance to stakeholders across ANZ.

What you’ll be doing

• Month-end management: Prepare journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and deliver accurate P&L and variance analysis against forecast.
• Forecasting and budgeting: Compile monthly P&L forecasts, annual budgets, and detailed forecast and budget packs.
• Cash flow monitoring: Prepare and monitor cash flow projections to support financial planning.
• Compliance and reporting: Prepare and lodge GST reconciliations across Australia and New Zealand, and support internal and external audit queries.
• Operational finance support: Provide day-to-day financial guidance to the Sponsorship team, including invoice generation, vendor set ups, intercompany transactions, and bank payments.
• Ad-hoc analysis: Complete project reconciliations and deliver financial analysis and reporting as required.

What you’ll bring

• Accounting qualifications: Studying towards, or looking to begin, a CA or CPA qualification, with demonstrated experience in accounting and reporting, ideally within a large corporate environment.
• Reporting capability: Proven ability to deliver accurate P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis with a strong eye for detail.
• Stakeholder communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently across teams and geographies.
• Time management: Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.
• Technical proficiency: Advanced Excel and data management skills; experience with Oracle and/or BPC is a bonus, and comfort adapting to new systems like OneStream is a plus.
• Industry passion: A genuine love of music or live entertainment is highly regarded and will set you apart.
