Job summary

Live Nation Entertainment is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the ANZ Sponsorship finance team. You’ll deliver month-end processes, prepare journals, reconciliations, and variance analysis, and support audits while partnering with stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand.

You’ll forecast and budget, monitor cash flow, lodge GST reconciliations, and provide day-to-day financial guidance. A CA/CPA pathway, strong Excel, and experience with Oracle/BPC/OneStream are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting and reporting within a large corporate environment.
• Ability to deliver accurate P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication across teams and geographies.

Responsibilities

• Month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L/variance analysis.
• Forecasting monthly P&L, annual budgets, and detailed forecast packs.
• Cash flow projections and financial planning support.
• GST reconciliations for Australia and New Zealand, plus audit support.
• Day-to-day financial guidance to Sponsorship team, including vendor setups and intercompany transactions.

The Role

Are you a detail-driven and motivated accountant ready for a fresh challenge? This is your chance to join the Finance team at Live Nation and get hands-on with the numbers behind one of the world’s most exciting live entertainment businesses. Sitting within the Sponsorship stream and reporting to the Finance Business Partner, you’ll join the team as a Assistant Accountant and be the financial backbone of the operational team, delivering accurate reporting, supporting audits, and providing day-to-day accounting guidance to stakeholders across ANZ.

What you’ll be doing

• Month-end management: Prepare journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and deliver accurate P&L and variance analysis against forecast.


• Forecasting and budgeting: Compile monthly P&L forecasts, annual budgets, and detailed forecast and budget packs.


• Cash flow monitoring: Prepare and monitor cash flow projections to support financial planning.


• Compliance and reporting: Prepare and lodge GST reconciliations across Australia and New Zealand, and support internal and external audit queries.


• Operational finance support: Provide day-to-day financial guidance to the Sponsorship team, including invoice generation, vendor set ups, intercompany transactions, and bank payments.


• Ad-hoc analysis: Complete project reconciliations and deliver financial analysis and reporting as required.

What you’ll bring

• Accounting qualifications: Studying towards, or looking to begin, a CA or CPA qualification, with demonstrated experience in accounting and reporting, ideally within a large corporate environment.


• Reporting capability: Proven ability to deliver accurate P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis with a strong eye for detail.


• Stakeholder communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently across teams and geographies.


• Time management: Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.


• Technical proficiency: Advanced Excel and data management skills; experience with Oracle and/or BPC is a bonus, and comfort adapting to new systems like OneStream is a plus.


• Industry passion: A genuine love of music or live entertainment is highly regarded and will set you apart.
