Job summary

Venue Nation Australia, a division within Live Nation Australasia, is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support the venues finance function from our Brisbane office in Fortitude Valley. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will manage journals and reconciliations, BAS preparation, head office reporting, asset accounting support, and maintenance of multiple trackers.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' experience in account reconciliations (GL, AR, AP, banks)

What you'll be doing:

Responsibilities range from journals and reconciliations to BAS preparation, head office reporting, asset accounting support and management of various trackers.

Deliverables are outlined throughout the month end and quarter end timetables.

What you'll bring:

REQUIRED:

• * 1–2 years' experience in any of the following types of account reconciliations: General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Bank accounts
• * Understanding of debits and credits
• * Previous use of an accounting software
• * Attention to detail and a professional attitude
• * Ability to work both autonomously and as a team player

DESIRABLE:

• * Exposure to general ledger coding
• * Experience with BAS preparation
• * Exposure to an ERP
• * A genuine music fan
