Job summary

Live Nation Australasia Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking a detail-oriented Tour Settlements Officer (Assistant Accountant) to join the Touring Finance team on a 9-month fixed term contract. You will assist with settlements for concerts and tours across Australia and New Zealand, coding in the accounts payable system and ensuring accurate cash allocation.

You’ll work with Tour Accountants and Promoters, load tour journals to Oracle, and help prepare end-of-tour audit checklists and APRA/PPCA

Qualifications

• Experience in an Assistant Accountant role, or in an accounting function in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong ability to interpret financial data, identify variances, and present clear reconciliations and commentary.
• Team player with a positive attitude who meets multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Settlement accuracy: Ensure correct GL coding and cash receipting of venue settlements.
• Invoice compliance: Check invoice approvals are compliant with limits before approving in workflow platform.
• Documentation management: Save all event invoices in tour folders.
• Journal processing: Load tour related journals to Oracle.
• Audit preparation: Prepare end of tour audit checklists for documentation.
• Compliance submissions: Prepare APRA/PPCA submissions for sign off.
• Cash flow coordination: Liaise with bank to arrange cash floats for Tour Accountants.
• Process improvement: Review settlement process to identify efficiencies.

About the role

About the role: We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Tour Settlements Officer (Assistant Accountant) to join Live Nation's Touring Finance team in Melbourne. In this 9-month fixed term contract, you'll assist with the settlements process for concerts and tours across Australia and New Zealand, working closely with Tour Accountants and Promoters to make sure all financial information relating to a tour is accurately coded in the accounts payable system. You'll also be responsible for ensuring cash deposits are correctly allocated and that all supporting documentation is in order.

What you’ll be doing

• Compliance submissions: Prepare APRA/PPCA submissions for sign off.
• Cash flow coordination: Liaise with the bank to arrange cash floats requested by Tour Accountants.
• Process improvement: Actively review the settlement process to identify efficiencies and improvements.
