Job summary

Live Nation in Melbourne seeks an Assistant Accountant (Tour Settlements Officer) to support the Touring Finance team on a 9-month fixed term contract. You will assist with settlements for concerts and tours across Australia and New Zealand, coding in the accounts payable system and ensuring cash deposits are allocated accurately.

• Invoice compliance: ensure approvals comply with limits before workflow approvals.
• Documentation management: save event invoices in tour folders.
• Journal processing: input tour related journals to Oracle.
• Audit preparation: assemble end of tour audit checklists for record keeping.
• Compliance submissions: prepare APRA/PPCA submissions for sign off.
• Cash flow coordination: liaise with banks for cash floats.
• Process improvement: review settlement processes for efficiencies.

About the role:

We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Accountant (Tour Settlements Officer) to join Live Nation's Touring Finance team in Melbourne.

In this 9-month fixed term contract, you'll assist with the settlements process for concerts and tours across Australia and New Zealand, working closely with Tour Accountants and Promoters to make sure all financial information relating to a tour is accurately coded in the accounts payable system. You'll also be responsible for ensuring cash deposits are correctly allocated and that all supporting documentation is in order.

What you'll be doing:

Settlement accuracy: Ensure correct GL coding and cash receipting of venue settlements.

Invoice compliance: Check invoice operational approvals are compliant with approval limits before approving in the invoice workflow platform.

Documentation management: Ensure all event related invoices are saved in tour folders.

Journal processing: Load tour related journals to Oracle.

Audit preparation: Prepare end of tour audit checklists to ensure key tour documentation is held on file for audit purposes.

Compliance submissions: Prepare APRA/PPCA submissions for sign off.

Cash flow coordination: Liaise with the bank to arrange cash floats requested by Tour Accountants.

Process improvement: Actively review the settlement process to identify efficiencies and improvements.
