Job summary

ACH Group, a not-for-profit aged care provider in South Australia, is seeking a Finance Support role at Mile End. You will reconcile resident billing, update PRODA movements, manage subsidy revenue and assist with month-end close to support residential and corporate operations.

The role requires strong accounts knowledge, Excel proficiency, and a proactive approach to process improvement within a values-driven, community-focused organisation.

Qualifications

• Customer Accounts, Accounts Receivable and Accounting knowledge with experience in a similar role.
• Ability to learn and interpret government subsidies
• Exceptional analytical skills and ability to problem solve
• Desire to contribute to a for-purpose organisation
• Advanced computer software skills including Excel and Financial Management Systems
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and communicate effectively.
• Passion to drive continuous improvement in business processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the Finance Team and Residential Customer Accounts Team
• Perform reconciliations of PRODA and ACH Group Residents to ensure accuracy of information records.
• Perform accurate and timely update of PRODA Residential movements.
• Reconciliations of residential care subsidy revenue of Medicare statements, B2B exceptions and resident database
• Perform bank reconciliation and customer receipts accurately and timely for ACH Group
• Fee Run and Customer Statements for Residential Accounts and support across Residential Finance
• Debtor Invoicing for Residential Care Adhoc Debtors
• Conduct variance analysis to support residential divisional operations.
• Effectively manage credit card expenses across the business, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
• Maintain the organisation’s Asset Register, ensuring asset information is accurate, up to date, and compliant with internal requirements.
• Perform accurate and timely update of Payroll Journals.
• Assist the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely divisional reporting of month-end and year-end closing activities
• Assist Finance team with Quarterly compliance reporting: Stewart Brown Reporting, Aged Care Financial Report (ACFR), Aged Care Quarterly Financial Report (QFR).
• Consideration of continual process improvement initiatives within the finance department and across ACH.
• Build relationships with peer teams across ACH Group and deliver value-added services to managers and key stakeholders.
• Positively contribute to team culture and the work environment and embrace the Finance Team Ethos.
• Completion of reconciliations and assisting with End of year financial audit.
• Actively participate as a member of the Finance Team and support the Finance Manager – Residential Care and Corporate Services with any other duties as required.

The role:

You’ll play a key role in supporting the Finance Team on operational finances. You’ll be responsible for reconciliations of Resident billing and information records, PRODA and subsidy revenue.
