Job summary

Sydney Metro is seeking a Senior Manager Asset Management for a temporary opportunity up to 35 months, to lead asset lifecycle decisions for major rail infrastructure. The role is based in Sydney, NSW, and will shape long-term performance, renewals, and whole‑of‑life cost outcomes for the network.

You will influence planning, operations, engineering and finance, manage a small team, and build trusted relationships with government stakeholders to balance risk, reliability and operational needs

Qualifications

• Engineering degree and hands-on experience applying asset management strategies to complex infrastructure assets.
• Experience in asset lifecycle planning, reliability-centred maintenance, operational readiness and asset assurance.

Responsibilities

• Shape long-term asset performance, sustainability and value for Sydney Metro's critical infrastructure assets across the asset lifecycle.
• Advise on asset renewals, replacements and whole-life cost optimisation for the network.
• Lead stakeholder engagement across planning, operations, engineering, project delivery, strategy and finance to align asset decisions.
