Reporting to the General Manager Operations, you will oversee infrastructure and housing maintenance and drive improvements in maintenance outcomes with contractors and OEMs.
MACH Energy operates a modern, low-cost coal mining operation in the Hunter Valley, benefiting from a low strip ratio and an efficient fleet of excavators, trucks, and other essential mining equipment. They are continuously expanding their operations year in, year out, supported by significant infrastructure investments and strategic growth plans. Mount Pleasant Operation is undergoing ongoing infrastructure upgrades, with major capital expenditure commitments in place. With a secure tenure extending well into the future, the operation offers long-term stability and certainty.
This is a unique role, and a rare opportunity to work on the asset owner's side of a large, contractor-operated mining fleet. Reporting to the General Manager Operations, the Asset Maintenance Specialist is MACH Energy's eyes and ears on its Company-owned heavy mobile equipment fleet, including the Komatsu 930E haul truck fleet and a newly commissioned Liebherr 9600 excavator, which are operated and maintained by the mining services contractor.
Your focus will be making sure the fleet is maintained to the agreed asset management plan and the required standard: verifying maintenance in the field, using machine health data to make sure issues are actioned, challenging major maintenance scopes and budgets, and helping shape future fleet through equipment purchases. You will also oversee the maintenance of Company-owned infrastructure and housing, and be accountable for the operation's Road Management Plan.
