Our client is an established Western Australian mining services business operating across equipment rental, maintenance and contract mining. The business is seeking an Executive General Manager - Assets to lead a division central to its operational and commercial success.
Reporting to the CEO, you will lead through the General Manager - Assets and Maintenance Services Manager. Your remit covers fleet performance, onsite and offsite maintenance, workshops, repairs, rebuilds and planning. You will set clear priorities, develop your leaders and hold them accountable for results and success will partially emenate from our understanding of the economics of keeping mining equipment working. Availability, utilisation, component life, maintenance cost and turnaround times all matter. You can weigh repair expenditure against contract requirements and asset value, anticipate fleet renewal needs and challenge decisions that do not make commercial sense.
Your background will be in mining contracting, heavy equipment rental or substantial repair, rebuild and maintenance operations. You understand that client requirements change and plans must adapt. You bring technical credibility, sound commercial judgement and proven GM or equivalent leadership experience.
Just as importantly, you can lead people. You give managers direction, delegate effectively and build accountability across workshops and dispersed teams. You remain visible to the workforce, communicate clearly and take responsibility for developing and retaining capable people.
You will establish a disciplined operating rhythm, with clear measures, regular reviews and timely action.
Success will be reflected in stronger fleet reliability, maintenance delivery, workshop productivity and financial performance.
Applications are open until November 6th.
