Job summary

Ampol is seeking an experienced Fixed Equipment Engineer for the Lytton Refinery in Brisbane. You will support safe, reliable operation of fixed equipment and assets, driving performance improvements and lifecycle value across piping, vessels, heat exchangers and tanks.

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Superintendent, you will lead FFS assessments, participate in MOC, and develop practical engineering solutions within a heavy industrial setting. A strong API/code background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and RPEQ registration (or eligible).
• Experience in operation, maintenance, inspection and integrity of fixed equipment.
• Proven ability to lead reliability initiatives and drive change across teams.
• Strong knowledge of refinery units, API codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering support for fixed equipment operation, maintenance and repair.
• Lead Fitness for Service assessments and investigate complex issues.
• Drive MOC processes, incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Identify reliability improvements and lifecycle value opportunities.
• Develop capital improvement concepts and business cases.
