Job summary

A Senior Maintenance Engineer at Ampol will lead major maintenance programs and turnaround campaigns to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of Ampol's assets across NSW. You’ll provide technical leadership, optimise asset integrity, and collaborate closely with operations and engineering teams to deliver excellence.

The role can be based in NSW at Kurnell or Banksmeadow, with opportunities to mentor teams and drive continuous improvement across maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification or trade certification in Engineering, Maintenance, or a related technical discipline.
• Extensive experience in maintenance, reliability, engineering, or project delivery roles.
• Strong understanding of asset integrity, reliability, maintenance, and risk management in industrial environments.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders to safe outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead major maintenance programs and inspection campaigns with planning, scope development, scheduling and execution.
• Manage contractors and service providers to deliver safe, compliant outcomes on time and within budget.
• Drive asset reliability and integrity through CMMS governance, technical specs, and testing requirements.
• Build stakeholder relationships, manage risks, communicate progress, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Champion continuous improvement, mentor staff, and foster collaboration and operational excellence.
