Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking an experienced asset information professional to lead governance and data standards for road assets. You will drive AIR definitions, oversee data quality, and coordinate enterprise-wide asset information initiatives across multiple divisions.

The role requires strong leadership of dispersed teams, stakeholder engagement, and deep knowledge of RAMS/SAP systems to ensure accurate, compliant data supporting long-term network performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading, coaching and developing geographically dispersed asset teams.
• Proven ability to govern asset data, enforce standards and ensure data quality.
• Strong stakeholder engagement across multiple divisions and disciplines.
• Knowledge of RAMS/SAP or similar enterprise asset management systems.
• Analytical mindset using data to drive improvements and outcomes.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Defining and maintaining AIR, data standards and specifications with Asset Custodians.
• Receiving accepted asset information into the governed environment and handling reclassifications.
• Leading data quality, audit and assurance reviews to improve integrity and compliance.
• Supporting Annual Reporting, form development and RAMS updates across the network.
• Monitoring data metrics, compliance and risk trends; contributing to improvement roadmaps.
• Engaging RMR divisions as escalation point for asset information issues and quality feedback.
