Job summary

Transport for NSW seeks an Asset Accountant to support financial accounting and control activities across the organisation, including asset accounting and statutory reporting under Australian Accounting Standards and NSW Treasury requirements.

You will report reliable asset information, drive accuracy in asset processes, participate in asset valuations and stocktakes, and collaborate with Finance stakeholders to enable timely, compliant financial management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in financial accounting and control activities across large organisations.
• Ability to contribute to asset accounting, financial reporting and statutory disclosures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise, handle deadlines and maintain data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Support financial accounting and control activities across the organisation.
• Contribute to asset accounting, financial reporting and compliance including statutory reporting for fixed assets.
• Prepare asset reconciliations and participate in asset valuations and stocktakes.
• Provide practical advice to stakeholders and maintain asset data integrity.
